Ravenna: the industrial skyline of the port have been part of our memories since childhood. They morphed into sumptuous cathedrals at the precise moment when the poignant and beautiful Monica Vitti, with her immense talent, transfigured a suggestion that has always accompanied us. We wrote this short piece a while ago carried away by her gaze, able to show us reality with indulgence and amazement. She made us discover our undiscovered lands. Forever in debt, Monica.


Le ciminiere delle industrie del porto di Ravenna che fanno parte dei nostri ricordi fin dall’infanzia hanno preso l’aspetto sontuoso di cattedrali nel momento preciso in cui l’immagine struggente e bellissima di Monica Vitti con il suo immenso talento ne ha trasfigurato la suggestione che ci ha accompagnato da sempre. Abbiamo scritto questo breve brano qualche tempo fa lasciandoci trasportare dai suoi sguardi che riuscivano a farci vedere la realtà con indulgenza e stupore, a farci scoprire le nostre terre inesplorate.
